The Trip South
December 29th, 2006
Team Creative intension where closing in on Maria Island on Tasmania’s east coast this evening with the hope of a possible afternoon finish on Saturday.
The crew have been running through their rotational 3 hour watch system since the start of the race and
i am sure are looking forward to the normality of a few beers on arrival.
The crew have been asked many questions throughout the last few days but have been so far happy with their progress.
It is understodd that the crew would have liked a bit moe running conditions as i am sure the rest of the fleet would.
Meals have been prepared in the small galley and enjoyed by all, a welcome break from sitting on the rail.
The crew would like to pass on their thoughts to the crews of the retiered yachts in particular to theĀ crew of Koomaloo.
The loss of this yacht is upsetting for all sailrs Australia wide.
Skipper David Rees was happy with the crews start being one of the few yachts to hoist a spinnaker in Sydney Harbour.
the boat has been going very well Rees said and the crew are on a mission to chase down fellow Tasmania entrant Fruit for the honou
of being the first Tasmanain yacht home.
Please keep an eye on the S2H website for updated ETA’s for the yacht and come down and welcome the crew of Creative inTension home.
The six month campaign to get Esky accross the finish line is almost complete.

Hi everyone … have been keeping a close eye on your progress on the yacht tracker and watching your website too. You’re gaining on Fruit! Have a good night’s sailing. Tim, Craig and Nic - we’re launching our Fireball off Taroona tomorrow to join your flotilla - if you see us, give us a wide berth, cause we’ve got no idea how to sail the thing.
