Tasman Island
December 30th, 2006
At day Break on the 30th Team Creative inTension where only a couple of miles from “turning the corner” at Tasman Island. The crew have halved the lead fellow Tasmanian entrant Fruit had on them to be just 7 1/2 miles and are still chasing hard.
The crew are very much looking forward to seeing loved ones again and the traditional Hobart welcome this afternoon at a decent hour. Fish and ChipsĀ have beenĀ ordered by the crew.

According to the race website, in the past 50 minutes a 25 minute handicap lead on Fruit has been turned into nearly an hour deficit. Definitely time to give the ol’ heart a rest, the excitement is killing. Its keeping Bill Tycker and I awake in the long English nights (better than the cricket, at any rate).

The technology has failed - according to the yacht tracker you’re either at Tasman, Cape Raoul or 4 nm SE of the Pot. Google Earth has given up, and you’re due at either lunchtimje or 10 tonight. We’ll be glad to see you whenever - we’re sick of holding our breath.
Go teameski
